Product Design Apprenticeship

Product Designers at Prolific are dedicated to one product at a time, owning the creative direction from beginning to end. You’ll work on a small cross-functional team with UX Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, and Strategists to solve problems big and small, through thorough research and prototyping.

As a Product Design Apprentice, you''ll be taking an active role in supporting Prolific's design team; you''ll learn from all disciplines while developing your own skills as a product designer. You are able to take direction from senior designers and execute, while also independently finding areas to positively impact the team. You’ll be working on products from brainstorming to implementation, presenting your work internally and contributing to the production process. We'll pair you with a product design mentor who will work with you to help expand your mobile and strategic expertise throughout the apprenticeship.

You have:

• Experience in digital design with passion for all things mobile
• Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
• A clear understanding and appreciation of mobile UI and UX systems and best practices
• An understanding of typography, information hierarchy, color, space, and aesthetic appeal
• A reputation for being dependable and a great communicator
• Strong attention to detail and highly developed organizational skills
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and openness to constructive criticism

Apprenticeship details

• On site, full time (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday)
• You must be a recent college graduate, majoring or minoring in Interactive Design, New Media, Graphic Design or a similar discipline
• Apprenticeships are paid
• You are responsible for securing housing
• Non-US residents must arrange for a student visa and sponsorship independently
